Novartis Discontinued Clinical Trial Program For ASA404
"Novartis (NYSE:NVS) discontinued its ASA404 clinical trial program after it failed to meet a primary endpoint. Interim results from a Phase III trial show that the drug failed to meet the primary endpoint of extending survival for the second-line treatment of non-small cell lung cancer. Related impairment charges of about $120 million will be taken in Q4. Novartis has a potential upside of 14.7% based on a current price of $56.8 and an average consensus analyst price target of $65.15."
